Participants will gain Business Objects knowledge with a deep focus on Web Intelligence report design and implementation.   Upon completion of this course, you will be able to connect to data, create Webi queries, and design Web Intelligence reports.

The Web Intelligence course begins with an introduction of Business Objects and Web Intelligence. We’ll then focus in on Web Intelligence 4.x terminology ensuring you understand the tool at the most basic level.  Next, we’ll learn how to navigate through the Webi tool and understand the purpose of each screen.

Then we get hands on!  The Webi queries and reports you’ll be creating were designed to provide you with the confidence to create impactful reports in a self service environment. We’ll start out with the basics like connecting to your data, creating a query, adding filters, and viewing your report.  Gradually, we’ll move on to more complex topics leveraging functions, variables, filters, IF statements, calculations, and custom formulas.  Don’t worry, we’ll walk through everything.

Every course unit is independent so you can start from wherever you’d like. Feel free to take your time while you master this valuable set of Business Objects skills and do refer back to a given exercise if you ever get stuck.

By the end of this course you will confidently add Web Intelligence to your CV.
